Students have 25 hours of taught lessons a week and are expected to support this with homework done in accordance to the set timeteble. This is written in the school planner and we encourage parents and carers to check and sign this planner and take an active role in supporting students with their homework.

The school day begins at 08.30, when lessons begin. We expect students to be on site by 08.25 and ready for learning - with the correct equipment. We do offer free breakfasts from 08.00, as we believe that learning is more effective with a good breakfast inside you.

Lessons are generally one hour in length with some double lessons at Key Stage Four and some practical lessons at Key Stage Three. There are daily assemblies with all students having at least three assemblies a week as well as at least two tutor sessions. The school day ends at 3pm. Many activities take place after school and we encourage students to take an active part. We offer a variety of sport, art, drama, technology and other activities for students during and after school
