Absence If your child is absent please contact the School on the same day. When an absence is likely to be prolonged, please let the Attendance Officer know as soon as possible.
Emergencies We try to get in touch with parents or, failing that, with the “emergency contact” - a relative or friend who has agreed to accept telephone calls from the School if emergencies occur. It is therefore essential that we have an emergency contact telephone number.
Cycling to School Pupils may cycle to School. Bicycles must be in road-worthy condition. There is a bicycle shed and we strongly recommend bicycles are “chained up” daily. The School cannot accept responsibility for stolen or damaged bicycles.
Essential Equipment The School will provide books for use in School, but we expect each pupil to bring in basic personal supplies of pens, pencils, rubber, ruler and simple mathematical instruments.
Mobile Phones/MP3 Players These are valuable items which are not insured against loss, theft or damage whilst on School property. Mobile Phones must be switched off and kept out of sight during lessons. MP3 Players must not be on site at any time. If they are used inappropriately they will be confiscated and held for collection by parents. We ask parents not to telephone pupils in lesson times and if parents receive calls from pupils, they should contact the School switchboard to discuss any matters raised.
Money and Personal Belongings Please do not allow your child to bring large sums of money or valuables into School. All clothing should be clearly marked with the name of the pupil. We cannot accept responsibility for money or for personal possessions.
Lost Property Enquiries about lost property should be made to the School Office.
