The GCSE courses in English and English Literature encourage wide reading, accurate writing and active participation in a variety of oral coursework.

All English and English Literature exams are tiered. Decisions about which exam tier is appropriate for individual students will be made by teachers and will be based on the standard of coursework produced during the course.
