ASDAN stands for ‘Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network’.
ASDAN is a pioneering curriculum development organisation. It offers a wide range of curriculum programmes for all abilities.

CoPE (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness) is a new GCSE that is offered at two levels:
Level 1 is a D-G grade at GCSE
Level 2 is an A*-C grade at GCSE

All students begin at Level 1; however, because the work is from the same booklet, every student can be given the opportunity to move to Level 2.

The CoPE course covers a variety of interesting modules. These include Sport/Leisure, Science and Technology, Expressive Arts, Beliefs and Values and many more that will interest the student.

The variety encourages the students to open their minds and research topics in different ways, such a ‘hands on’, ICT and relating experiences that they have in everyday life. This can all be put in their portfolio as evidence that modules have been completed.

There is no final exam in CoPE either in Level 1 or 2. CoPE encourages independent choice so students take a responsibility for their learning.

In CoPE, students work alongside others to improve their own learning and performance while problem solving and discussing the aims and outcomes required.

ASDAN is an exciting innovative course that can help students achieve their full potential whilst working on topics they enjoy.
